Something on my heart lately is TRUST... 100% and ALL THE TIME.
Oh I know, that looks pretty good to read and pretty easy to type on this page... but its pretty DANG hard to do!
You see, when you decide to trust God our Father with everything you have, you are surrendering yourself to him. Not just some things that are easy to surrender... but everything. Your schedule, your timeline, your family, your desires, your story. Because, lets face it.... God should be the writer of our story.. not us. He is glorified when we surrender to him and trust his perfect plan. We are sinners and imperfect so things got a little messy when we entered the story.. but that is Ok. God can take your brokenness and create something so beautiful. He wants to. But its hard to let him sometimes....
That is what he has been showing me this week. I have got to trust. He has carried me and my family this far and he knows the ending of our story. So why shouldn't I trust the writer of our story?
Satan.
He's right there to cause us to doubt. To distract and destroy. Through engine lights, house months, kitchen ants, school, check books, migraines, work loads and through other people. What's your distraction?
God is bigger. And he wants to keep writing your story. So sit back.. let him lead. Be sold out.
Many people keep asking if we are nervous? Are we ready? Are you sure about it all? Any doubts on either side? Are you worried?
Just gotta point up and point back to the writer of this story. He is bigger. He has been able to do so much throughout this whole journey. His hand is forming every aspect of our story. That gives me peace to surrender.
Ephesians 3: 20-21 God can do anything, you know- far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around, but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.
Lord Jesus, this day I pray to you that myself, my family and whoever reads this journal entry today will say over and over again today these words " I am trusting you today with my story" even when it is hard. That we will recognize distractions from the enemy and that you would reign over them in our lives. Sometimes we feel so defeated and the anxiety in our hearts in so strong and so powerful that we want to give into that. I pray you will be victorious over that. I pray you will whisper peace into our hearts. Lead us today Lord.
Amen
